FIVE TIPS HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

16.08.2017

Wedding photos aren't just simple snapshots but happy and cozy evenings in future when you will enjoy family album with lots of pleasant memories and feelings. Therefore, you should like your photographer both as professional and as person since you will share with him such an important day in your life, trust your future memories about your wedding.

Often happens that in the process of preparation for the wedding, groom and bride do not give due attention to the choice of the photographer and turn to the first "specialist" who positions himself as a wedding photographer. AND THIS IS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE!!!

A real wedding photographer is not just a person who recently bought a camera and wants to take wedding photos. The photographer should be an expert, have experience of working with people, should know and feel all the nuances of creative photography. Experience also affects to the psychological aspect: during the celebration, the photographer and guests should feel themselves free and comfortable. Eventually this will affect the emotions that will be captured in the photos.

Below I will give 5 useful tips that will help you choosing a wedding photographer.

TIP 1. BOOKING WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER.

Book your wedding photographer in advance. For example, if you plan your wedding in the summer, start to deal with this issue in the winter, because it may turn out that the photographer you liked could be already busy.

TIP 2. PERSONAL MEETING.

You should meet with the photographer you liked the most. Personal meeting is the only way to find out that you will be comfortable with this person on your wedding day.

Also, you should ask the photographer to have a look at his portfolio.

TIP 3. WEDDING PORTFOLIO.

Pay attention to whom the photographer takes pictures, are these couples real? Maybe it's just models. It is advisable to view 2-3 photo shoots of full wedding day. Pay attention to how the photographer takes pictures of banquet, preparations of the bride and groom.

TIP 4. COST.

Do not choose your wedding photographer on the principle of "the cheaper, the better". Good wedding photographers know his own price and quality of the photos corresponds to the cost. If you want to get high-quality photos, then it's better to hire 2 hours of work of a professional photographer, rather than 12 hours of inexpensive and inexperienced amateur photographer.

TIP 5. CONTRACT. Verbal agreements have habit to be forgotten, and the signed contract will serve as a guarantee of providing services in the volume and format that you discussed on meeting with your photographer. Do not forget to prescribe in the contract such important points as the amount of payment and prepayment, the deadline for receiving the finished photos and the time of the photographer's work.
